Data Deletion
Effective & last updated: 22 May 2026
How to request deletion of your account and data
If you have an account on Deimos Comics — including one created via Facebook Login, Google Sign-in, or email magic link — and you want your personal data removed, send an email from the address registered on your account to:
Subject line: Account Deletion Request. No further information is required — we identify the account by the sending address.
What gets deleted
- Your user account and profile (email, name, image, role).
- Your OAuth links (the connection between Deimos Comics and Facebook / Google / Apple).
- All active sessions and any unused magic-link tokens.
- All analytics events tied to your user id (page views, reader sessions). Anonymous session-level events are also deleted where they can be linked to you.
What we keep, and why
Greek and EU law require us to retain certain records even after an account is deleted:
- Purchase / payment records are retained for up to 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. They are stored under a de-identified reference (no email, no name) once your account is deleted, so the records remain auditable but no longer linked to you.
- Anonymous, aggregated traffic logs may persist briefly (~30 days) after deletion as part of normal log rotation.
Stripe holds the actual payment data and is independently subject to its own retention rules — see Stripe's privacy policy.
Timing
We acknowledge the request within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17. You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is done.
Facebook-specific note
If you signed in with Facebook and want to remove only the connection between Deimos Comics and your Facebook profile (without deleting your Deimos Comics account), go to Facebook > Settings & privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites > Deimos Comics > Remove. After that you will still be able to sign in with email or another provider.
Other privacy rights
You can also request a copy of the data we hold, correction of inaccurate data, restriction of processing, or filing a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
